Christina Proctor, MPH, PhD

Dr. Christina Proctor is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Health Promotion and Behavior in the College of Public Health. Dr. Proctor received her PhD, Master’s in Public Health, and Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion all at UGA. She entered UGA as a first-generation student and her research interests are driven by life-experiences in rural areas. Her expertise is in rural health, mental health, and risky behaviors including substance use. Her current projects include working to improve mental health and well-being of farmers and agricultural workers across the state, mental health and substance use in women working in male-dominated industries, and serving as the evaluator for Mental Health First Aid programs implemented in Foothills Schools across the state.

Noah Hopkins, MPH

Noah Hopkins is a graduate research assistant in the College of Public Health at UGA. His work is primarily focused on barriers to healthcare experienced by farmers and their families, which he explores using both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Outside of his work in the farming community, his interests include instrument development, psychometrics, and program evaluation.

Chase Reece, MPH

Carrie Keown

Carrie Keown is a University of Georgia undergraduate studying Agribusiness. She plans to pursue a career in extension education, bridging the gap between agricultural research and practical farming. Her interests include livestock production, dairy cattle management, and the social sciences of farming.
